Seriously, stuffed animals?

I was one of those people (before I became a parent of course) who thought that it was just insane to give your kids so many stuffed animals. Those kids rooms that had a billion of them stashed everywhere--not for me our my house I delcared! WELL like most things you declare, you later end up doing exactly that. Ashtyn's favorite toy? Her stuffed animals of course! She just loves them. She has tea parties with them, wrestles them, puts them to sleep (with wash cloth "blankets" so sorry if you ever visit me and there are none in my guest bathroom--Ashtyn steals them ALL regularly), she reads books with them, puts on music shows for them, tosses them, kicks them down the stairs, you name it we do it. And not just upon occasion either, we're talking EVERYDAY she plays with her stuffed animals. Particularly cute is when she puts them to sleep at night (if we haven't done it earlier in the day already). She very gentle picks them up while they are in laying-down position, whispers "night, night Panda (or whoever--they all have names)" to them and softly lays them down in her drawer where we keep most of them.

This here is a picture of her favorite activity to do with her stuffed animals when there is a box around--climb inside and get every stuffed animal (and "purple baby") in there with her. She gets rather annoyed with the larger ones though because they take up too much space and she kicks them out. The place of honor on top? Always reserved for her lovey, "Teddy." (Teddy, by the way, just so happens to be a daddy, and don't try to convince her otherwise. Despite the pink color and pretty silky bow, TEDDY IS A DADDY!!!" I think she just misses Ty....
